This important decision pairs a regional leader in hunger relief with a trusted community pantry, strengthening the collective effort to address food insecurity in Holyoke and beyond. Chamber Members, new and long term have stepped up to join the cause as official drop-off locations for non-perishable food donations throughout the end of the year. The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts provides 15 million meals annually to 122,000 individuals, while Margaret’s Pantry delivers essential support directly to Holyoke residents. Leading by example, Grzelak, Grzelak, & Associates, P.C., an accounting firm, has donated $5,000 to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts—a contribution the Food Bank’s secure donation site equates to 15,000 meals for local families. Every dollar raised will help provide three nutritious meals to individuals in Western Massachusetts. The food drive aligns with the upcoming Greater Holyoke Chamber Power Hour on Wednesday, 12/3, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This event invites Chamber members and the business community to get involved and underscores a shared commitment to unity and action. Rather than a celebration, the gathering is intended to acknowledge the pressing challenge of food insecurity and encourage participation in efforts that truly matter to the Holyoke community.
