HOLYOKE, MA, December 1, 2025 – Jireh Delights Bakery and Restaurant is set to celebrate its grand opening on Monday, December 8th, with an all-day event from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The new bakery and restaurant, located at 172 Sargeant St, will welcome the community to celebrate the launch of a new local business owned by Ismarie and Manuel Rivera. Mayor Joshua Garcia and Greater Holyoke Chamber Interim Director Lisa Totz attended the ribbon cutting on December 1st, joining in the festivities and celebrating this exciting addition to the neighborhood.

Ismarie and Manuel Rivera bring a deep history in the kitchen and a heartfelt dedication to serving their community. Ismarie’s journey in baking began in 2011, and over the course of more than 14 years, her passion evolved into a collection of recipes that define Jireh Delights Bakery and Restaurant today. In 2023, she began baking for local events, quickly gaining strong demand that inspired Manuel to join the operation. Together, they developed a vision for a bakery that would reflect their identity, culture, and commitment to people. Their decision to establish Jireh Delights Bakery and Restaurant in Holyoke was shaped by family connections, their relationships within the city, and their appreciation for Holyoke’s diversity. For the Riveras, the community means support, closeness, and the opportunity to create a space where everyone feels cared for.

Jireh Delights Bakery and Restaurant operates as both a bakery and restaurant, serving a diverse menu for breakfast and lunch. The menu features a wide array of offerings, from freshly baked breads and pastries to homemade sandwiches and daily hot prepared foods. Patrons can look forward to signature and iconic desserts like flan, tembleque, and guava puffs, showcasing the bakery’s commitment to quality and authentic flavors. The Riveras are especially proud to offer options exclusive to Holyoke, including seasonal desserts and specialty products created for the neighborhood.
